Story Support Lab✨ Sept 19th

(PDT, UTC-07) (PDT, UTC-07)

Online AND in person SF, San Francisco

Join us either online or in person on September 19th for our 3rd Saturday Story Support Lab. This month it's all about momentum. So bring something you’ve created that’s almost ready to meet the world. “Created” can mean written, rehearsed, planned, or thought through. And we're using the word "story" loosely. For example you might bring:

✨An offer you’re ready to make to a potential client. ✨A newsletter, essay, or blog post waiting for you to hit publish. ✨A poem, song, or story you want someone to hear. ✨A workshop or gathering you’ve imagined but haven’t invited anyone to. ✨A proposal or pitch that needs to reach the person who can say yes. ✨A piece of art you want to submit, display, sell, or give to someone. ✨A portfolio or résumé you’ve updated but haven’t sent. ✨A request for help, collaboration, or an introduction you’ve been sitting on. ✨An idea you’re ready to bring to your team or community. ✨A letter of appreciation you’ve written but haven’t delivered. ✨A conversation you’ve prepared for and are ready to initiate. ✨A small experiment you’ve designed and want to invite someone to try.

It doesn’t have to be public or polished. The desire to share it is what counts. The invitation is to give something you’ve been holding a little movement beyond you.

Either join our 9/19 3rd Saturday Story Support Lab in person in SF (location TBD) OR online - for those of you who aren't local but want to play with us.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

If you're tired of rigid rules and the pressure to be perfect, you're not alone. AND you're in the right place. More info and theory will only get you so far. At some point, you have to get on your feet and do the thing.

Confidence comes from practice, not polish - and we accept this in many places.

You don't get comfortable improvising music by reading about improvisation. You don't learn yoga by downloading poses. You don't become comfortable speaking in front of people by perfecting a script alone. You need reps. But most people have virtually nowhere to get low-stakes storytelling reps.

Toastmasters often feels like public speaking. The Moth can feel like performance. Writing workshops emphasize writing. Open mics tend to attract people who love an audience.

Story Support Labs are the place to practice before things feel like a performance.

Join us to get grounded, be yourself, and have fun in the process. Molly's style is warm and welcoming. She brings decades of high-stakes experience while keeping the room low-pressure; an environment that makes you want to stretch and expand.

Story Support Labs are designed using Molly's proven 3Cs approach:

✨ Calibrate: (nervous system & energy) Somatic practices clear the "performance" fog and bring you back to your body — grounded and energized.

✨Connect: (safety & play) Improv and partner work in a space where it's safe to be real. A reminder that you're not alone in your struggles and growth doesn't happen in isolation.

✨ Create: (curiosity & storytelling) Practice authentic storytelling in a space that celebrates your quirks, your messy starts, and your real, human truths.

You'll leave with more presence and ease — not as a performer, but as a connected human being people can feel. These 3rd Saturday Story Support Labs are a great way to practice an upcoming pitch or plan what to share during 4th Wednesday Connect with Story events.

Come as you are. Bring your full self. Space is limited to keep it intimate.
